Njord Shipping is a commercial ship manager and disponent owner with a proven track record of delivering solid investment returns across shipping cycles. Since 2016, we’ve owned and managed over 30 vessels across dry bulk, tanker, MPP, and container segments. With experience in new buildings, project structuring, and operations, we work closely with shipowners and partners worldwide—combining deep industry knowledge with hands-on management to create long-term value.

Njord Shipping has a close relationship to the Glastad family. Through Mosvolds Rederi AS, the Glastad family has more than 100 years of shipping history. The first vessels dates back to 1910, and the family has a proud tradition as a fully integrated Norwegian Shipping company.

WHO WE ARE

Njord Shipping is a commercial ship manager and Disponent owner, specializing in the ownership, management, and strategic development of shipping projects. We work in close cooperation with shipowners and investors, aligning interests and leveraging shared experience to create sustainable, profitable ventures. Founded in 2013 by Henrik Ness and the Glastad family, the company has since 2016 owned more than 30 vessels and managed over 23 project companies.

Operating across multiple segments—including dry bulk, tanker, MPP, and container — Njord Shipping combines traditional shipowning values with hands-on, entrepreneurial ship management. We take an active role in projects where our experience and expertise can create real value for investors and stakeholders.

Partnership experiences

Mitsui logo
Njord Shipping acted as the Commercial advisor in connection with the establishment of two long-term time charter contracts through Mitsui for two 40,000 dwt Handysize newbuildings from Imabari Shipbuilding, Japan. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2026. Njord Shipping will also serve as the Commercial Manager for the vessels, overseeing their employment and market strategy throughout the charter period.
SIVA Shipping logo
Njord Shipping acted as the Commercial and Technical advisor for SIVA Shipping Singapore Pte. Ltd (former JB Ugland Shipping AS). Njord Shipping was responsible for the chartering of their Gas Tankers, Chemical Tankers, Crude Tankers and Offshore Vessels. The Commercial advisory included Investment project development and management.
Chemical Transportation Group Ltd logo
We were instrumental in the launch of, and raising of capital (excess of USD 150 mill) to Chemical Transportation Group Ltd (CTG). CTG is sponsored by Maritime Equity Management NY, a Peter Georgiopoulos controlled company. As their Commercial and Technical advisor, Njord Shipping played a central role in the ordering of 10 x 25kt stainless steel tankers at AVIC Dingheng Shipyard.
